Oral Hygiene and Products

Our doctors believe strongly in taking a preventative approach to dental care. Promoting health through preventative and routine hygiene care is the heart of our practice. More than just “cleaning”, these visits allow us to monitor your health and catch potential problems early.

The use of advanced techniques, antimicrobials, and individual patient education can place our patients in the best position to keep their teeth for life. Ask about the latest techniques and products to assist you in your home care. Our dentists have advanced education in the prevention and treatment of gum problems and can help you with your needs.

Oral Exams and Dental Cleaning

Oral exams and thorough dental cleanings (scaling) can keep your teeth and gums healthy and help catch early signs of dental caries before they get worse. Our exams and cleanings are comprehensive, and we take a number of steps to identify any issues and help you maintain good oral health. At least two oral exams and two professional teeth cleanings each year are recommended.

Tooth Colored Fillings

Until recently, dentists filled and sealed cavities exclusively using silver and mercury amalgam. Unfortunately, these fillings (or restorations) often weaken teeth due to the large amount of natural tooth that has to be removed. Modern dentistry has increasingly turned to composite (or tooth-colored) fillings as a strong, safe and more natural looking alternative. Composite fillings utilize a soft white plastic substance that includes a hardening agent. Our dental practice is a silver / mercury amalgam free clinic and we believe in always restoring the teeth in the most esthetic way using dental composites.

Inlays and Onlays

Inlays and Onlays are designed to restore your teeth back to their original appearance and function without removing an excessive amount of tooth structure, frequently avoiding the need for a crown. These conservative porcelain restorations provide a natural looking, beautiful substitute for unsightly silver mercury fillings.

Root Canal Therapy

Teeth that are affected by severe decay can cause extreme pain and even be dangerous to your overall health, increasing the risk of heart attack, stroke, and other conditions if left untreated. Root canal therapy can save the tooth from extraction and eliminate the pain. This procedure cleans out any abscesses and infections in the area, removes the pulp of the tooth, and sterilizes the nerves underneath to kill any lingering bacteria. A strong filling material is then used to seal the nerve chamber, and a custom-made porcelain crown is placed to give the tooth more strength and support.

Family and Children’s Dental Care

The Dental Inc. looks forward to treating patients of all ages. We offer a number of family and children’s dental care options that can help your child develop a healthy set of teeth and gums and effectively resolve dental issues before they become worse. Our treatment plans are designed for each individual patient, and our entire dental team is focused on providing your child safe, compassionate treatment in the most comfortable setting possible.

Advanced Periodontal Care

Advanced periodontal care with virtually painless laser dentistry and other options can be very effective for gum disease and improving a “gummy smile.” We offer a range of treatments that can prevent gum disease from getting worse, restore the health of your gums, and enhance the appearance of your smile with little to no recovery time.

Dental Implants

For individuals who wish to replace missing teeth, dental implants may be one of the most effective long-term solutions. Designed to become a permanent part of your mouth, dental implants look and feel like natural teeth. They do not slip or need to be removed at night like dentures, and can be very effective at restoring both the form and function of your teeth.

Full Dentures

If you've lost all of your natural teeth, whether from periodontal disease, tooth decay or injury, complete dentures can replace your missing teeth and your smile. Replacing missing teeth can benefit your appearance and your health. Without support from the denture, facial muscles sag, making a person look older. You'll be able to eat and speak with considerably less difficulty - things that people often take for granted until their natural teeth are lost.

Partial Dentures

Removable partial dentures usually consist of replacement teeth attached to pink or gum-colored plastic bases, which are connected by a metal framework. Removable partial dentures attach to your natural teeth with metal clasps or devices called precision attachments. Precision attachments are generally more esthetic than metal clasps and they are nearly invisible.

Oral Cancer Screening

Oral cancer can be a life-threatening risk to your health, and early diagnosis and treatment is critically important. Studies have shown that early treatment can result in an 80 to 90 percent chance of surviving oral cancer. We at Braces And The Dental Inc. offer quick and painless oral cancer screenings here at our practice to identify any irregularities that may be present. We recommend at least two oral cancer screenings each year.Remember, early stage oral cancer does not usually display symptoms, so it is very important to have regular screenings.
